The cocoa beans from the Chontalpa is one of the last noble criollo in Mexico. This rare Fino de Aroma variety contains 50% fat for a protein level of almost 15%. It is an extremely sweet cocoa that has a long-lasting taste in mouth, with delicate fruity and floral notes.

Weight

Loaded with cocoa beans from the "Chontalpa", in the state of Tabasco, Mexico, the sailboat Avontuur sailed from Yucatan at the end of March 2018 to dock at Le Havre (France) in May. This transport using the wind force has reduced its carbon footprint by nearly 90%.

With this unique criollo, Fino de Aroma, the ANEMOS certification enables - thanks to the travel number 1803 - to trace the entire journey of these cocoa beans from the loading in Mexico to France, as well as photos, videos, the GPS track, the CO2 reduction index of the route.

Guidance for a proper utilization : roast the beans, grind them, eliminate the hulls, melt the crust, add icing sugar and cocoa butter, mould the dough, unmold it and finally taste it !!

You can eat it raw as well because cocoa beans are known as "super food", very healthy and nutritious.

Roll up your sleeves and all to your kitchens!
